May 30th  -We were flying to Osh in Southern Kyrgyzstan. We got on the flight at 12:00 noon. It is a 1/2 hr flight, the turbulence was very bad on the way there. When we got to Osh, the plane kept going up and down, side ways and circling the city about 8 to 10 times. The the wind was blowing so hard that the pilot couldn't land. People were getting sick and asking for vomit bags. The stewardesses were keeping busy with people and messes, and trying to stay upright in the isles. People were scared we were going to crash! The pilot never announced anything to us, we just kept circling the city. We could see as we went down and then up again and as we circled around and around. We couldn't land, so the pilot headed back for Bishkek. On the way back about 10 minutes later the pilot came on and told us what happened. When we got back in the airport, the people in charge didn't know if there would be another flight until 5:00pm back to Osh that day.  Jyldyz, our interpreter, ha

It is the 2nd largest mountain lake in the world.  The next morning we went to a village called Boserbiva where we discussed a project that they needed veterinary supplies for inoculating their cattle because they have diseases that are causing liver damage to the villager's, especially the children.  They provided a great lunch in a yurt village where people can rent yurts like hotel rooms. The high end yurt has it's own bathroom. The others use an outhouse in the back of t

They questioned Bill the longest. We were there for an Area Conference with Area Pres. Martino. We took a taxi to our hotel.  We stayed at a hotel that had seen better days. We met up with the Gray's, Taylor's and Hulmes(they serve in Perm as MLS missionaries). We walked across the street to a local restaurant. The food was good. Then in the same shopping center was a market we all went in to. In another place,  Bill and Ray Gray bought a sim card for Russia just in case we ever had to go back. Next Day, we all met for breakfast in the hotel. We al got ready for the day. The Church was a bus ride and some walking away. It was a great Conf. We had Pizza for lunch and PeanutButter brownies.  It was interesting meeting the Russian  Missionaries. Afterwards we took a taxi to dinner with all
