May 14-20

May 14-16 We flew to Yekaterinburg, Russia. We were detained for two hours being questioned by the Russian guards. They went through both of our phones and took pictures of Bill credit cards. They questioned Bill the longest. We were there for an Area Conference with Area Pres. Martino. We took a taxi to our hotel. We stayed at a hotel that had seen better days. We met up with the Gray's, Taylor's and Hulmes(they serve in Perm as MLS missionaries). We walked across the street to a local restaurant. The food was good. Then in the same shopping center was a market we all went in to. In another place,  Bill and Ray Gray bought a sim card for Russia just in case we ever had to go back.
Next Day, we all met for breakfast in the hotel. We al got ready for the day. The Church was a bus ride and some walking away. It was a great Conf. We had Pizza for lunch and PeanutButter brownies. It was interesting meeting the Russian Missionaries.
Afterwards we took a taxi to dinner with all the Senior Missionaries, the Beck's and Martino's at a Sultana restaurant. The restaurant was on the 10th floor. The food wasn't great.  Bill ended up with 3 whole fish to eat, because the servers didn't understand English.

Bill and I had an early flight out the next day.
