Thusrday March 29
Traveled to the Bishkek Rehabilitation Center where we obtained copies of the assessments that the Social Workers filled out. We will start interviewing the recipients nest week.  We talked to Durtoloot the man over the wheelchair dispersement's and found out that they distributed all the chairs that they had (about 160 this time, 400 altogether).



Friday March 30
We met with the Deputy Minister from the Ministry of Labor and Social Development Cholpon who is over the wheelchair dispersement for the country. We discussed how they can help us with these reports that need to go back to LDS Charities. We expressed how important these interviews with the wheelchair recipients are and the importance of the Clinicians who make these reports  doing the assessments correctly.  She let us know that we have all the cooperation from her department with hopes that we may be able to provide more chairs in the future.

Just received our business cards in English and Russian.

Saturday March 31
Volunteers Topham, Lowry and Crawford were here for their visa run. We all went to the babushka flee market where they have all their used things for sale, like a large garage sale but on the sidewalks, and Ordi Sai a reeneck (bazaar). Picked up some memorabilia silver coins with Charles and Diana and one with Queen Elizebeth for Robin.

Easter Sunday April 1 
General Conference
What a great conference with new leaders called. New Temples announced. Great Solemn Assembly as we sustained our new leaders.

Travel to Kyrgyzstan

We started our journey on February 20 flying from Salt Lake to Paris(2 hr layover) then on to Turkey. Bill had to check his carry on(all the clothes to wear in Turkey and medications) with Air France going to Turkey because they said it was to big. We landed in Turkey on February 21 with 4 other volunteers 3 serving in Turkey and one in Kazakhstan. As we arrived at the luggage carousel we got all the bags except my carryon they had checked. Went to lost and found and after 45 min they told me it would be here the next day on the 6pm flight and that they would call when it arrived. They never called so Bill called them several times with no results. Then they said that the 6pm flight was cancelled that day and said it would be on the next day flight(Feb 23) at 6pm. We were flying out that next day at 950pm to go to Kyrgyzstan. The President ordered a van to take us to the airport after it arrived it had mechanical problems so we had to order another one. Senior Couple Retreat Monday-Sat, April 23- April 28, 2018 Our mission president, Pres. Davis feels that the senior couples should have a bi-annual retreat to get rejuvenated, so we pooled some money together and took a trip to Antalya, Turkey and visited some awesome sites where the Apostle Paul walked and taught. This is our itinerary for our Senior Missionary retreat. May 30th  -We were flying to Osh in Southern Kyrgyzstan. We got on the flight at 12:00 noon. It is a 1/2 hr flight, the turbulence was very bad on the way there. When we got to Osh, the plane kept going up and down, side ways and circling the city about 8 to 10 times. The the wind was blowing so hard that the pilot couldn't land. People were getting sick and asking for vomit bags. The stewardesses were keeping busy with people and messes, and trying to stay upright in the isles. People were scared we were going to crash! The pilot never announced anything to us, we just kept circling the city. We could see as we went down and then up again and as we circled around and around. We couldn't land, so the pilot headed back for Bishkek. On the way back about 10 minutes later the pilot came on and told us what happened.
